週日回到中科實中，天氣出乎意料地好，心情當然也是。久違的同事夥伴，久違的氛圍，久違的熟悉感與味道。

被學生點名，老師，你在哪裡？怎麼一整天都沒看到你？

這是當老師的成就感與特權--被打招呼、被熱情問候、被告知後來發展得很好—有可能因為自己當初對她/他的影響。

教育的價值就是這樣，不斷影響著另一個生命的發展，一代傳承一代，我想不出來還有什麼行業比教育更靠近生命真正的意義。

IB DP 國際文憑大學預備課程有個核心，我特別喜歡，叫做CAS：

C：Creativity，創新

A：Activity，行動

S：Service，服務

這主要是說，不論你的興趣或發展是什麼，永遠不要忘記自己是人類世界的一份子；要勇於突破舊框架，不斷探索新的可能；要勇敢實踐，躬身力行；以及，要分享與貢獻自己，用熱情與專業回饋給自己所處的社會。

我希望當初被我教過的學生，多少都有被這些觀念影響。

如果可能，這些觀念會逐漸成熟為觀點，進而成為行為指引的素養。

在許多人生抉擇的重要時刻，會發揮著關鍵的定向能力，讓這個自我更好、更成熟，身邊的人更幸福平安。

教育沒有終點，只有不間斷的奉獻。

教育更像是個機場，不同的學生滿載理想，加滿油，各自飛向天際。

老師們揮手送走不同方向的客機，也期待某天又看到這架飛機滿載驚喜與不平凡的經歷回來。

剛好，中科實中就在機場旁邊，用來比喻教育應該很貼切。

當然，每天那惱人的高頻噪音與汽油味除外。

IB DP 與 CAS，從中科實中走來，我還在教育現場，期待看到更多展翅的飛機。

每年十月到十二月，我們一起瘋園遊會、瘋運動會、瘋校慶，可以看到不同時光在一起相聚，這是說不出的好。

誠摯祝福每一個認真、創新、成就教育價值的師長與同學們，都能校運昌隆，平安健康。

The Beginning and the End

On Sunday, I returned to the National Experimental High School at Central Taiwan Science Park ,and to my surprise, the weather was exceptionally good, which naturally lifted my spirits.

It had been a long time since I saw my colleagues, a long time since I experienced the familiar atmosphere, and a long time since I savored that familiar feeling and taste.

I was called out by students, "Teacher, where have you been? We haven't seen you all day."

This is the sense of accomplishment and privilege that comes with being a teacher—being greeted, warmly welcomed, and informed of their subsequent achievements, which could be attributed to the initial influence I had on them.

This is the essence of education, continually shaping the development of another life, one generation passing on to the next.

I can't think of any profession closer to the true meaning of life than education.

The IB DP (International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme) has a core component that I particularly like, called CAS:

C: Creativity

A: Activity

S: Service

This essentially conveys that no matter what your interests or pursuits are, never forget that you are a part of the human world.

Be courageous in breaking old boundaries, constantly explore new possibilities, practice what you preach with bravery, and share and contribute with passion and expertise to give back to the society you are a part of.

I hope that the students I taught in the past have been influenced by these concepts to some extent.

If possible, these concepts will gradually mature into perspectives and eventually become qualities that guide their actions.

In crucial moments of life choices, they will exhibit crucial navigational skills that will make themselves better, more mature, and those around them happier and safer.

Education has no endpoint, only continuous dedication.

Education is more like an airport, with different students filled with dreams, refueling, and then taking off in their respective directions.

Teachers wave goodbye to planes heading in various directions, eagerly awaiting the day when they see these planes return with exciting and extraordinary experiences.

Coincidentally, Central Taiwan Science Park is right next to an airport, which is a fitting metaphor for education.

Of course, the annoying high-frequency noise and the smell of gasoline are exceptions.

From Central Taiwan Science Park, with IB DP and CAS, I'm still in the field of education, looking forward to seeing more planes take flight.

From October to December every year, we go crazy with carnivals, sports events, and school celebrations.

It's a time when different moments come together, and it's indescribably wonderful.

I sincerely wish every teacher and student who is earnestly, innovatively, and successfully promoting the value of education, a prosperous and healthy school year.
